Possibly The Most Magnificent Bed & Breakfast In Walla Walla

 

With the warm weather now upon us, most of you are wanting to find excellent places to try to escape to for a weekend. Does it sound good to vacation in a b&b that is receiving international recognition regarding being the top in the west? Heading out towards Touchet along highway 12 all you can see is a handful of tumbleweeds and hills. How can there be a magnificent mansion out there?

When you pull off of the hwy between mile marker 312 and 313 and go to the valley area for a mile you'll discover it. It is the Cameo Heights Mansion, overlooking a four hundred acre orchard and vineyard. The innkeepers, Alan and Deanne Fielding, obtained the property several years before with the intention of becoming growers, but then made a decision that they desired to move there along with their children.

"In the beginning when we started off it was going to be our family home, but then funds became restricted and the project was stopped so we practically never looked at the residence again for approximately 10 years," tells Alan.

It was not till their kids finished growing up and moved out that they came up with the concept to generate a b&b from the not finished dwelling.

"We looked into transforming it into a b&b. We certainly have a flare for entertaining and my lovely wife, Deanne, is a fantastic chef and hostess. We had an incredible residence that would perhaps become a wonderful retreat for spouses," says Alan.

Immediately after revamping the blueprints for the residence they opened the mansion two years ago, of all of the bed and breakfast walla walla boasts, Cameo Heights is appearing to be the finest of them all. Guests can select to reside in one of seven distinct suites that are globally themed. Guests will also enjoy a movie theater downstairs and the swimming pool and hot tub outdoors.

It was the comforts at the mansion and the incredible service that led to their "Best in the West" merit from BedandBreakfast.com. Of all the walla walla resorts, they may be the first to acquire such an honor. The notification arrived in the snail mail and caught the Fieldings by shock.

"Well at first I had to ensure that my spouse did not throw it own because it could've been perceived as unsolicited junk mail! Then I started out examining it and stated hold on a moment allow me to read this notification all over again, this can be major! Next we got on the web site and was like wow we really are on there!," describes the Fieldings.
